

We have a team of certified teachers here to assist you in your homeschool journey because we understand the importance of family AND the importance of a good education. But no one person can do it all, so let's support each other! We are happy to tailor our programs and create new ones to meet your needs, just ask. See below for the classes we are currently running and upcoming options as well. We limit classes to a maximum of 5 students. Homeschool Math classes are $15/hour and ELA classes are $20/hour. Math (STAR Math) is an online math assessment for grades K - 12. ($55)
Reading Screenings (Word Reading, Phonemic Awareness, Fluency, Comprehenion, Spelling) available for student K - 12 ($50)
Math Classes:
Most teaching will be done in class, but there will be some requirements of students to watch videos and practice on their own. There will be homework that must be completed along with quizzes and tests.
Algebra 1 - Now forming (Times TBD)
We will follow a standard Algebra 1 curriculum including: Functions, Linear Equations & Inequalities, Rational Numbers, Intro to Quadratic Equations
Pre-Algebra - 10:00 - 11:00 AM (Tues/Thurs)
We will follow a standard (non-common core) pre-algebra curriculum. Students will practice and perfect their use of: Fractions, Rational Numbers, Percents, Equations & Inequalities, Graphing Relations
Grade 5/ 6 Math - 11:00 - 12:00 PM (Tues/Thurs)
This class will combine major objectives from both grades. The lessons will be adapted to meet students at their levels- including occasional independent study topics. Objectives including: Fraction Operations, Large Number Mult & Div, Decimal Operations and Place Value, Evaluating Expression, Powers, Geometry, Probability
Grade 1/ 2 Enrichment - Now forming (Times TBD)
This class is designed to teach and extend math skills in this age group. Students will learn problem solving skills that allow them to practice addition and subtraction. Students will also be introduced to the concepts of multiplication and division using stories and real objects.
ELA Classes include both reading and writing. Reading materials are age appropriate and may include poems, picture books, short stories, novels, etc. All writing classes include age specific writing skills including grammar, vocabulary, and editting & revising skills. We can supply a syllabus for more specific details. All classes are designed to be fun and enaging and keep students interested in reading and writing while teaching essential skills.
High School Classes - 9:00 - 10:00 AM (Tues/Thurs)
Grades 9-12 (approx. ages 12 - 14) - We will meet all the required NJ Learning Standards including personal narratives, opinion writing, and essay writing. In additon we will cover topics such as writing for change, understanding your audience, writing in response to reading, putting together a resume, debates and public speaking.
Middle School Classes - 9:00 - 10:00 AM (Tues/Thurs)
Grades 7-8 (approx. ages 15 - 18) - We will meet all the required NJ Learning Standards inluding personal narratives, opinion writing, and essay writing. In addition we will cover more creative topics such as themes across genres, point of view, and tone.
Upper Elementary Classes - 9:00 - 10:00 AM (Tues/Thurs)
Grades 5-6 (approx. ages 10-12) - We will meet all the required NJ Learning Standards including personal narratives, opinion writing, and paragraph writing. In addition we will cover more creative topics such as responding to questions, descriptive writing, using pictures and space to express yourself and much more!
Elementary Classes - Grades 2-4 (broken up by age and skills)
9:30 - 10:30 AM (Thursdays) 3rd/4th grades
Using mentor text to model writing, proper sentence formation, transitions, using words and pictures to express your ideas, sharing personal experiences, letter writing, and writing with a purpose to name a few.
Our early learners are working on basic early reading and writing skills including phonemic awareness, letters, sounds, sight words, fluency and comprehension of text. Classes form based on needs and abilities.
