What We do

Give families peace of mind knowing school doesn't have to be a battle

Give parents the knowledge and strategies they need to work with their child and/or their school district

Give students the confidence and tools they need to be successful

Where do I start?

We can talk over the phone, Zoom, or schedule a time to come in and go over your concerns for your child's learning goals. We will discuss possible reasons why your child has been struggling and next steps to take either with us or the school district to get your child the help they need.

All of your child's information is confidential. We do not share information with other doctors or schools without your written consent.

At the screening, we will sit with you and go over your concerns for your child's learning goals then do a reading and/or math screening to see where your child is performing academically. We will discuss possible reasons why your child has been struggling and what we can do to get your child back on track for success.

We are upfront and honest about how long interventions will take and how much it will cost depending on your child’s specific needs.

We will then send you an email detailig all of the information discussed and include recommendations for accommodations at school, if needed.

We give you the information you need to make the best choices for your child.

Option 3: Cognitive Assessment

Option 3: Cognitive Assessment

What to know your child's cognitive strengths and weaknesses?

We will evaluate your child with the Gibson Test of Cognitive Skills which looks at the following areas: Memory (visual, auditory, and working), Processing Speed, Visual Processing, Word Attack, Auditory Analysis, and Logic & Reasoning skills.

We will put together a comprehensive report that will highlight your child’s strengths, point out areas that need to be developed or gaps in learning, and give you recommendations based on our child’s specific learning profile. Be sure to schedule your consultation to go over our findings.

*This assessment is also available for adults!

Diagnostic Dyslexia Testing

Interventions available for ADULTS, too!

Option 3: Cognitive Assessment

(2 1/2 – 3 hours) - $350

Need to know if your child has Dyslexia? We will conduct a full battery of skills to determine if your child has dyslexia, the type of dyslexia, and options for intervention.

First, we will send you a questionnaire to fill out regarding health and learning history.  Please return this questionnaire along with any previous testing or evaluations your child has already completed at school or from the doctor. Once we receive these documents we can schedule an evaluation. Let us know about any interventions or therapies your child may already have received.

A diagnostic dyslexia evaluation will assess your child's skills in the following areas:

  • oral language
  • listening comprehension
  • working memory
  • phonological awareness
  • letter & word identification
  • decoding (words and nonwords)
  • spelling
  • vocabulary
  • rapid naming
  • fluency
  • reading comprehension

We will put together a comprehensive report that will highlight your child’s skills in each of the areas above and determine whether your child meets the criteria for dyslexia, and if so, what type of dyslexia your child has. We will give you recommendations based on your child’s specific learning profile. Be sure to schedule your consultation to go over our findings.
